These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at evoappliances.ca and your engagement of appliance repair services provided by Evo Appliance Repair Ltd. (“Evo”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in British Columbia, Canada.
By booking a service, using our website, or engaging our technicians, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
1. Services Provided
Evo Appliance Repair Ltd. provides in-home appliance repair services for residential and commercial customers across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, including but not limited to:
- Refrigerator and freezer repair
- Washing machine and dryer repair
- Dishwasher repair
- Oven, stove, and range repair
- Cooktop and garburator repair
We reserve the right to decline service requests at our discretion, including situations where the repair would be unsafe, uneconomical, or outside our area of expertise.
2. Booking & Appointments
2.1 Booking Confirmation: A service appointment is confirmed only when you receive written or verbal confirmation from Evo Appliance Repair.
2.2 Same-Day Service Guarantee: If you call before 12:00 PM (noon) Monday to Friday, we will dispatch a technician the same day. If we fail to arrive the same day, your labour cost for that visit will be waived. This guarantee is subject to technician availability and weather/road conditions beyond our control.
2.3 Appointment Window: We provide a service window (typically 2-4 hours). Exact arrival times are not guaranteed. Our team will contact you if there are significant delays.
2.4 Access Requirements: A responsible adult (18+) must be present at the property for the duration of the technician’s visit. If no one is available, we reserve the right to charge a missed appointment fee.
2.5 Cancellations: We ask for at least 4 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations may be subject to a $40 administration fee.
3. Pricing & Payment
3.1 Service Call Fee: A service/diagnostic fee of $80 applies to all appointments. This fee covers the technician’s travel to your location and the initial diagnosis.
3.2 Repair Costs: Repair costs start at $100 and vary depending on the appliance, fault, and parts required. A written or verbal estimate will be provided before any repair work begins.
3.3 No Hidden Fees: We do not charge hidden fees. The estimate provided before work begins is the price you pay, unless additional faults are discovered during the repair and you authorize additional work.
3.4 Payment Methods: Payment is due upon completion of the service. We accept credit card, debit card, e-transfer, and cash.
3.5 Unpaid Invoices: Invoices not paid within 30 days of the service date may be subject to a 2% monthly late fee and referred to a collections agency.
4. Warranty
4.1 Parts Warranty: All replacement parts installed by Evo Appliance Repair carry a 90-day warranty from the date of repair.
4.2 Labour Warranty: Labour is warranted for 30 days from the date of repair. If the same fault recurs within 30 days, we will return and repair at no additional labour charge.
4.3 Warranty Exclusions: Warranties do not apply where: (a) the appliance has been tampered with or repaired by a third party after our service; (b) the fault is caused by misuse, power surges, water damage, or other external causes; (c) normal wear and tear; or (d) the customer has not followed recommended usage guidelines.

5. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the appliance and the problem when booking
- Ensure the appliance is accessible and safe for our technician to work on
- Inform our technician of any known hazards at the property
- Ensure a responsible adult (18+) is present during the entire service visit
- Not request technicians to perform work outside the original scope without discussion
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Evo Appliance Repair’s total liability for any claim arising from a service shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific service
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, food spoilage, or business interruption
- We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or faults in your appliance that are unrelated to the repair performed
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on evoappliances.ca, including text, images, logos, and design elements, is the property of Evo Appliance Repair Ltd. and is protected by Canadian copyright law. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any content without our prior written consent.
8. Website Use
You agree to use our website lawfully and not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website or its systems
- Transmit any harmful, offensive, or disruptive content
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the website
- Impersonate Evo Appliance Repair or any of its employees
9. Third-Party Services
Our website links to third-party platforms including our online booking system (Workiz). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
11. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may seek resolution through the BC Civil Resolution Tribunal (civilresolutionbc.ca) for claims up to $5,000, or through the courts for larger claims.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised ‘Last Updated’ date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
